People like Reverend Sharpton who preach from their bully pulpit.

THe REVEREND Sharpton and Jackson should have welcomed the apology from
IMUS and forgave him for calling the illiterates who lost to Tennessee
nappy headed ho's.
Instead the ass holes cultivated hate and discontent towards Imus.
Reverends my ass....

Politicians like Obama who has clearly demonstrated his lack of human
compassion and forgiveness.
He ain't fit to be no President of this country thank you very much.

I'm not an IMUS fan and have never heard or seen his program and know
nothing about his politic but when I see a Radio/TV talk show host
ground up in the black racist political correctness grinder I get concerned.
THe black racists mentioned don't want racial tension to leave the scene
for they thrive off of it and the sooner people tell them it's over and
go get a day job the sooner the racist baiting from the blacks go away.

He's a jerk really, but he got eaten alive.

Meantime rappers like Snoop Dogg and "comedians" like Chris Rock keep

have the right to say what he did OR are you upset over the double standard and
both black and white should be held to the same standards. Hard to tell from

Imus still has the right to buy a radio station license, free to get
insurance in case he gets fined by the FCC, and free to say whatever he
wants to say. He just can not do it while at work and his employer, a
public corporation, risks loosing corporate sponsors and risks paying
FCC fines or cancellation of their privileges for misuse of the public
airwaves.

Oh, Oh baby don't you know I'm human
Have thoughts like any other one
Sometimes I find myself long regretting

Some foolish thing some little simple thing I've done
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good

http://youtu.be/ygX1b4xEGSU

B.Benjamin/S.Marcus/C.Cadwell

Baby, do you understand me now
Sometimes I feel a little mad
But don't you know that no one alive
Can always be an angel
When things go wrong I seem to be bad
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good

Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

Baby, sometimes I'm so carefree
With a joy that's hard to hide
And sometimes it seems that all I have do is worry
Then you're bound to see my other side
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good

Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

If I seem edgy I want you to know
That I never mean to take it out on you
Life has it's problems and I get my share
And that's one thing I never meant to do
Because I love you

Oh, Oh baby don't you know I'm human
Have thoughts like any other one
Sometimes I find myself long regretting

Some foolish thing some little simple thing I've done
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good

Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Yes, I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Yes, I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

Fidel Castro always speaks truth to power, he never fails.
I respect and admire him
Capitalism is a system by which greedy individuals, exploit human
beings, for their own personal gain, benefit, whether or not it
benefits anyone else.
I love Fidel Castro.
I respect Fidel Castro.
I admire Fidel Castro.
I wish him well and will be very sad the day he dies.
It shows that when socialism is implemented and allowed to thrive
without interference it can succeed very well indeed.
Hugo Chavez has made a huge difference for the good, in the lives of
ordinary Venezuelans.

Why don't you go suck that smoker Robert's cock
some more, maybe he'll give you a reach-around.
Go get your little GI Joe action figures or Barbie dolls or whatever and see
if you can figure out the physical problems with giving a "cock smoker" a
"reach around." If you need further help, consult an anatomy chart. You
might need to know this stuff someday.

But don't study it for too long or you'll go blind.

Imus still has the right to buy a radio station license, free to get
insurance in case he gets fined by the FCC, and free to say whatever he
wants to say. He just can not do it while at work and his employer, a
public corporation, risks loosing corporate sponsors and risks paying
FCC fines or cancellation of their privileges for misuse of the public
airwaves.

Double standard at work. That's the problem here.

First of all, it's Amendment, not Ammendment. Second, you don't own CBS or
MSNBC and the right wing doesn't get to decide if MSNBC or CBS decides to
fire one of their employees. Imus doesn't own the broadcasting equipment or
license either, so he's using their networks as an employee. You don't have
a constitutional right to hijack a network to say whatever you want.

Third, you're an idiot.

Sharpton seems to be leading the charge for Imus' firing, not the
right wing. Most of the right wing commentators I've read/heard are
spending their times pointing out hypocracy of the Imus critics.
Especially those who say simular things or have appeared repeatedly on
his show. MSNBC/CBS. made a bunch of money off Imus knowing his
history, now they are firing him because they are outraged. It would
be refreshing if they would state the obvious reason, that they fired
him to stop advertisers from bleeding away.

I agree with you, Lein. If somebody's going to come out and say that he's a
known racist/sexist and that he's demonstrated this kind of behavior before,
I'd expect that the critic either declined any previous opportunities to
appear on the program or they're jumping on a bandwagon. If I'm on the
Howard Stern show looking at boobies or whatever, I can't come out and
blather about how irresponsible his programming is

Agreed there, too. The bottom line is that major sponsors such as GM were
pulling support. On the flipside, that's not censorship, that's free
market. The people out here bleating about "the first ammendment" most
likely weren't defending Janet Jackson.

As for Sharpton, he jumps on any racial bandwagon that will ensure that he
gets his face in the news and for which he'll be able to take credit for
anything that's accomplished. Jesse Jackson isn't much different, he's just
smoother at it. It's weird watching them campaign for President knowing
full well that they're wasting support resources for something they can't
possibly win.

Freddy's Fashion Mart

In 1995,
Sharpton led a protest in
Harlem against the plans of
Freddy's Fashion Mart,

a Jewish-owned clothing store,
to expand into a black neighborhood,
displacing a black retailer.

Sharpton told the protesters,
"We will not stand by and
allow them to move this
brother so that some
white interloper can
expand his business."

Three months later,
an armed protester forcibly
entered the store and burned
it down, killing himself and
seven others.

Sharpton distanced himself from the crime,
claiming the perpetrator was an open critic
of the civil rights leader and his nonviolent
tactics.

Nonetheless,
Sharpton later expressed
regret for making the
racial reference, "white interloper,"
though he denied responsibility for
inflaming or provoking the violence.

What's amusing here is that for a married man gothman really shows some

Dunno if he's wired for AC or just remembering hot times in the baracks,

Fourth, Al Sharpton is a racist pig:

http://nalert.blogspot.com/2007/04/imus-remarks-remind-some-of-jackson-and.html

Another fellow with strange hair, thwacking Imus in the Imus Saga, is
Rev. Al Sharpton. He's also known as Rev. Al "If the Jews want to get it
on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house"
Sharpton.

And there's Rev. Jesse Jackson, who has decent, unpretentious hair, but
has also been called Rev. Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson. Actually, I prefer
calling him the King of Beers, since he stopped boycotting Budweiser
when his sons were given the exclusive Bud distributorship on Chicago's
North Side.
Being for the redistribution of wealth allows you to be a racist.Imagine
that.

The Imus lynch party

Posted: April 13, 2007
1:00 a.m. Eastern

In the end, it was not about Imus.

It was about us.

Are we really a better country because,
after he was publicly whipped for 10 days
as the worst kind of racist,
with whom no decent person
could associate,
he was thrown off the air?

Cards on the table.

This writer works for MSNBC,
has been on the Imus show scores of times,
watches Imus every morning, and likes the show,
the music and the guys:
the I-Man, Bernie, Charles and Tom Bowman.

And Imus is among the best
interviewers in our business.

Not only does he read and
follow the news closely,
he listens and probes as well
as any interviewer in America.

Because he is a comic,
people mistake how
good a questioner he is.

Is "Imus in the Morning" outrageous?

Over the top at times?

Are things said every week,
if not every day, where you say,
"He's going too far"?

Yeah.

But outrageousness is part of the show,
whether the skits are of "Teddy Kennedy,"
"Reverend Falwell," "Mayor Nagin" or "The Cardinal."

And when Imus called the Rutgers
women's basketball team "tattooed ...
nappy-headed hos," he went over the top.

The women deserved an apology.

There was no cause,
no call to use those terms.

As Ann Coulter said, they were not fair game.

But Imus did apologize,
again and again and again.

And lest we forget,
these are athletes in their prime,
the same age as young women in Iraq.

They are not 5-year-old girls,
and they are capable of brushing
off an ignorant comment by a
talk-show host who does not
know them, or anything about them.

Who, after all,
believed the slur was true?

No one.

Compare,
if you will, what was done to them -
a single nasty insult -

to the savage slanders for weeks
on end of the Duke lacrosse team
and the three players accused by
a lying stripper of having
gang-raped her at a frat party.

Duke faculty and talking heads
took that occasion to vent their
venom toward all white "jocks"
on college campuses.

Where are the demands for apologies
from the talk-show hosts, guests,
Duke faculty members and smear artists,
all of whom bought into the lies
about those Duke kids -
because the lies comported
with their hateful view of America?

And hate is what this is all about.

While the remarks of Imus and
Bernie about the Rutgers women
were indefensible,

they were more unthinking and
stupid than vicious and malicious.

But malice is the right word to
describe the howls for their show
to be canceled and them to be driven
from the airwaves -

by phonies who endlessly
prattle about the First Amendment.

The hypocrisy here was
too thick to cut with
a chainsaw.

What was the term the I-Man used?

It was "hos," slang for whores,
a term employed ad infinitum et ad
nauseam by rap and hip-hop "artists."

It is a term out of the
African-American community.

Yet, if any of a hundred rap singers
has lost his contract or been driven
from the airwaves for using it,
maybe someone can tell me about it.

If the word "hos" is a filthy
insult to decent black women,
and it is, why are hip-hop artists
and rap singers who use it incessantly
not pariahs in the black community?

Why would black politicians hobnob with them?

Why are there no boycotts of the
advertisers of the radio stations
that play their degrading music?

Answer:
The issue here is not the word Imus used.

The issue is who Imus is -
a white man,

who used a term about black
women only black folks are
permitted to use with
impunity and immunity.

Whatever Imus' sins,
no one deserves to have Al Sharpton -
hero of the Tawana Brawley hoax,
resolute defender of the fake rape
charge against half a dozen innocent
guys, which ruined lives -
sit in moral judgment upon them.

"It is our feeling that
this is only the beginning.

We must have a broad discussion
on what is permitted and not
permitted in terms of the airwaves,"
says Sharpton.

It says something about America
that someone with Al's track record
can claim the role of national censor.

Who is next? And why do we take it?

I did a bad thing,
but I am not a bad person, says Imus.

Indeed, whoever used his microphone
to do more good for more people -
be they the cancer kids of Imus Ranch,
the families of Iraq war dead now more
justly compensated because of the I-Man
or the cause of a cure for autism?

"We know of no spectacle so ridiculous
as the British public in one of its
periodic fits of morality,"
said Lord Macaulay.

Unfortunately,
Macaulay never saw
the likes of the
Revs. Sharpton and Jackson.

Imus threw himself on the mercy
of the court of elite opinion -
and that court, pandering to the mob,
lynched him.

Yet, for all his sins,
he was a better man than
the lot of them rejoicing
at the foot of the cottonwood tree.

Schmitty, if you are talking about Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson, what exact
'jobs' do they have to lose? Sharpton is supposedly a reverend and Jessie
Jackson a washed up politician and IIRC also a reverend, but neither has much of
a high profile job to lose. They are both just bandstanders. If Imus was such a
worthless lump than he could probably get away with it as well, but he has a
boss and must obey FCC and company rules and network laws and such, and was a
victim thereof. Compare him to Jimmy the Greek, who also lost his job over his
mouth, not to two bozos who didn't even work for companies during the times they
ran their mouths. We are all entitled to our own views, but be prepared for the
consequences when you air them. Jackson's 'Rainbow Coalition' was a relatively
large following at one point. No more. Now he is just a bandwaggoner. He didn't
have a job to lose over the 'Heimy Town' crack, but he lost a lot in other ways.
No one takes him seriously anymore.

Their speaking profits and black community position of authority as well
as government fear of their control over blacks.

Sharpton like other " reverends " is far from spreading the gospel and

Any FCC rule would have no color preference regarding violators.
NBC decided to back out because thew were losing sponsors and are on
shaky ground with GE anyway.
The networks reacted after the " Reverends " got the population riled up
and they flooded the lines with calls calling for ouster.
Compare that to what happened to Jackson after it was discovered he had
a child by another woman.

Indeed. Generally speaking, the difference between them and Imus is that
they're not broadcasting during prime-time hours and they're not referring
to a group of private citizens specifically.

It doesn't make it right. In fact, it contributes to the problem because by
the time an old white guy like Imus used the word "ho" it had been used so
much by the black community that it has passed into common use.

Where's the right-wing outrage at her support for "ammendment" violations?

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said on
Friday that radio host Don Imus' comments about the Rutgers University
women's basketball team were "disgusting" and she was pleased he was fired.
Imus called the women players "nappy-headed hos" -- racist, sexist remarks
that resulted in a barrage of protests and ultimately in the outspoken host
losing his CBS Radio show, which was also televised.

"I'm very glad that there was, in fact, a consequence. I think that this
kind of coarse language doesn't belong anywhere in reasonable dialogue
between reasonable people," Rice said in an interview with syndicated radio
show host Michael Medved."

they're not broadcasting during prime-time hours and they're not referring
to a group of private citizens specifically.
Well black rappers, have an international audience
and are a billion dollar industry.
They spew their hatred of their black women in their very popular lyrics,
and their punishment is a fat paycheck.
The black rappers are referring to their own mothers, sisters and daughters.
Just listen to their lyrics.
Ho's and bitches is a common theme in the lyrics of black rappers.
Post by torresdD
It doesn't make it right. In fact, it contributes to the problem because
by the time an old white guy like Imus used the word "ho" it had been used
so much by the black community that it has passed into common use.

Well maybe whites need their own media, where they can say what they want,
when they want.

You don't grasp the content of what has gone down here.
Imus called a bunch of American college students "nappy hos." You're
defending it. The sponsors of the show won't defend it. The show fired
them. You went off on some crybaby screed about "ammendments" as if an
employer doesn't somehow have a right to fire employees who kick over the
corporate traces.

IMUS could end up better off on satellite where he can speak without a
reverend bringing his house down and I figure IMUS will just go on and
those who want to listen will subscribe and we will have pay speech rather
than FREEdom of speech but I guess noone really cares....
HIS BOSS SHITCANNED HIS SORRY ASS, YOU DUMSHIT. NOBODY TOOK AWAY HIS

They can do whatever they want with it. (Except show nipples or swear

An employer has a right to fire his staff members, you know. Goddamn,

Neither Jackson nor Sharpton are answerable to the networks. They can't be
fired. Yes, allowing either of these two bobos their say on TV on the Imus
subject is hypocritical, but Imus stepped in his own shit and has nobody
ultimately to blame except himself. You righturds can try to spin this on
Sharpton and Jackson all you want. Two wrongs won't make it right. Speaking of
Jacksons, Smitty, care to 'splain what happened to Janet Jackson during the
Superbowl? Doesn't always happen only to whites, now does i`t? Or how soon does
your racist ass forget?

I don't like Sharpton or Jackson so I'm a racist?

Niggers can say anything they want because they run the place now.....

You must be on drugs again.

Shakedown Jesse has an entire INDUSTRY built on racially intimidating
big business.

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=11749

One thing Jackson has understood with the savvy of the former street
operator he is: Corporate America is easily aroused to guilt, and is
willing to pay big money to assuage it. In recent years, Jackson has
focused on two industries and milked them for millions of dollars in
contributions to his Citizenship Education Fund and Rainbow PUSH
Coalition: the telecoms, and the consumer banking and brokerage industry.

Both industries fit Jackson's bill as potential shakedown victims.
Operating nationwide, they serve large numbers of consumers, including
those in traditionally minority communities. That gives Jackson leverage
for his satisfy-my-demands-or-I'll-boycott technique.

Victims have included telecoms SBC Ameritech, Verizon, AT&T and GTE,
brokerages such as Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and Solomon Smith
Barney and banks such as Citicorp and Bank of America.

These days, Jackson no longer needs to rely on the Blackstone Rangers to
enforce his threats, the infamous Chicago street gang whose close ties
to Jackson I exposed in my book Shakedown. (Jackson's half-brother, Noah
Robinson, is serving multiple life-sentences for drug-trafficking,
murder-for-hire and racketeering in connection with gang-related
activities, and was Jackson's business partner in his early Chicago days.)

Instead, he invites the authorities with the power to investigate his
activities to keynote his conference and embraces them.

Under Clinton, Jackson hosted Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, whose
portfolio included the Internal Revenue Service, which failed to
investigate alleged financial improprieties by Jackson and his groups.
He also invited New York State Comptroller Carl McCall, and later
stumped for his ill-fated gubernatorial campaign.

McCall sat on the compensation committee of the New York Stock Exchange
when it awarded $140 million compensation packages to former chairman
Richard Grasso and invited Jackson to ring the closing bell. In 2000,
the exchange gave Jackson $194,634, tax records show. With McCall and
Grasso gone, so went the favors.

Following the revelations in Shakedown and pressure from conservative
groups, Jackson's flagship Citizenship Education Fund showed a deficit
for the first time in 2002, as Jackson's victims got wise to his act.

But Jackson never gives up hope of finding new friends. This year,
informed sources tell me, he has asked New York City Mayor Michael
Bloomberg for a $100,000 contribution. An official with Bloomberg LP's
charitable giving division, Chris Taylor, refused to confirm the gift
but did not deny it, either. "We don't confirm our corporate giving as a
matter of company policy," she said.

Jackson also has invited as keynote speaker New York Attorney General
Eliot Spitzer, whose office is responsible for regulating charitable
corporations operating in the state.

"This has all the appearance of a conflict of interest," says Ken Boehm
of the National Legal and Policy Center, a watchdog group.

Jackson's groups present "a dog's breakfast of sloppy accounting," Boehm
says. But with Spitzer in Jackson's camp, don't hold your breath for the
AG's office to show any zeal in investigating complaints against the
good Reverend.

I read that NASCAR has stopped giving Jackson money to shut his mouth
about their not being any black drivers.
Jackson is not good enough to be called nigger but it works the best at
stirring the pulse of the left wing politically ccorrect.
